Gia’s First Trip to Pittsburgh

All packed up and ready to head to my home in Pittsburgh!

All packed up and ready to head to my home in Pittsburgh!

We headed back home to Pittsburgh today for a couple weeks. Looking forward to spending time with family and friends in both Pittsburgh and Johnstown.

Our 335-mile trek between South Bend and Pittsburgh took about 7 hours. That included 3 stops for Gia and one for mom and dad!

Gia was a trooper and only cried when she was hungry. A little O.A.R. on the satellite radio also helped settle her down towards the end of the trip.

When we arrived at our house, a sign greeted us there (thanks to Aunt Marisa for getting the sign and to Nonno for putting it up!):

First Steelers Game! (Sort of)

I tried to get Gia to watch her first Steelers’ game with me. (OK, so it was a preseason game.)

She seemed fine until Antonio Brown’s touchdown in the 1st quarter was ruled out-of-bounds.

And then when the Steelers settled for a field goal, she had enough and started to scream. Amanda says it was because she was hungry.

I’m still convinced it’s because she feared the upcoming season and worried about the inept offense.

Regardless, hopefully this was the first of many Steelers’ games we’ll watch together.

Gia Turns One Month

Whew! Got through the first 31 days with a breeze, right kiddo?

Chilling Out to Music

Sometimes to get Gia to relax, we’ll play her some tunes which she seems to find soothing.

Taking a Snooze

This is one of many closeups we took of Gia in the first few weeks of her life.

Welcome to Giavanna’s Website/Blog

IMG_0277Amanda and I created this website for Giavanna so her family (and our friends) in Johnstown, Pittsburgh, Italy, and all over the world can stay in touch with what’s happening in her (and our) lives. But mainly hers!

This photo was taken in front of our apartment just 3 days after Gia was born..
